Physiotherapy is that branch of Medical Science that helps to restore, maintain and promote optimal physical health. It helps to diagnose the extent and nature of neural, musculoskeletal alignment and discrepancies and to rationally and scientifically treat such disorders. It is a health care profession concerned with the assessment, maintenance and restoration of physical functions and performance. The contribution of Physiotherapy to India's health care system is linked inextricably to the changes that shaped our country from treating of war amputees to any natural disasters. Physiotherapists have gained wide acceptance both nationally and internationally as health professionals because of their skills in ensuring complete and faster rehabilitation of many disorders, thereby, improving the patient’s quality of life and making the treatment cost-effective. The Department of Physiotherapy aspires and strives for excellence in physical therapy education by developing the intellectual and human potential of students through quality education with the use of modern and innovative techniques in order to make the students responsible and respected professionals. The department is proud to have competent faculty, innovating pedagogy, backed by strong practical input. Our graduates have earned enviable packages both in India and abroad.
The Institute is approved by the Haryana State Govt; vide memo no.21/6/98-2 HBIV dated 30-12-98 and affiliated to M.D. University, Rohtak; vide letter no. CB-II/2k/73/8817 dated 29-09-2000 is also approved by Indian Association of Physiotherapists (I.A.P.) which is a well renowned Physiotherapy professional organization issuing license to practice Physiotherapy in India; vide letter Regd. No. 5595, dated 21-02-2008.
